Antutu testing new UT3 from 1.6Ghz to 2.0Ghz

Good day, guys! We just finished testing new revision of our UT3 pcba board and also testing device working with cooler on heatsink. It gave us ability to change stock cpu frequency from 1.6Ghz to 2Ghz with 100Mhz step, without any overheat. Let watch what we have as results:

Ugoos UT3 pcba

Non-contact thermometer:

Miniature fan:

Results of our testing:

1. 1.608 GHz.

The temperature in idle 50
Antutu: heatsink temperature 67, the temperature of the back of the PCB - 70

2. 1.704 GHz.

Without fan on heatsink:

Antutu: heatsink temperature 72, the temperature of the back of the PCB - 75

With fan on heatsink:

Antutu: heatsink temperature 50, the temperature of the back of the PCB - 60

3. 1.800 GHz.

Without fan on heatsink:

Antutu: heatsink temperature 83, the temperature of the back of the PCB - 85

With fan on heatsink:

Antutu: heatsink temperature 52, the temperature of the back of the PCB - 62

4. 1.920 GHz.

Without fan on heatsink:

Antutu: heatsink temperature 86, the temperature of the back of the PCB - 89

With fan on heatsink:

Antutu: heatsink temperature 53, the temperature of the back of the PCB - 64

5. 2.016 GHz.

With fan on heatsink only:

Antutu: heatsink temperature 55, the temperature of the back of the PCB - 67

I just had my first unit arrive today from Ugoos. I ordered directly from their website overseas. I don't know if I can quote prices here, but even with DHL 3 day shipping added the price of the unit was about $40-$50 less than what I have seen one advertised on eBay for! There is also a US outlet now and you can go directly to the owner...Richard... and order from him. I believe he has them in stock in the US. The unit is quite impressive! It still has a few glitches with programs like Netflix, but I'm sure there will be a firmware update soon to take care of this.

Hi guy I love the tv box fast and cool. So I just wondering I already have one of those I got it from the ugoos usa droidfusion. But now I know is a new batch with mimi fan. How i can get that fan on the unit without it. I dont want my ugoos to overheat and die. Nice work and have a nice day.

UT3 owner here. There are places on the board for the HYM8563 real-time clock and ES8323 audio. Why are they not installed? RTC would be very desirable. Also, my cooling issues went away as soon as I removed the heatsink that was glued diagonnaly and did not even cover the CPU and put it back correctly. No fan needed. Maybe you should explore the idea of a better quality contol.

Also, could you release the schematic. The board is nearly identical to the firefly, but it takes time to figure out where the differences are and correct mistakes of your programmers. For example, your Linux kernel is compiled (from firefly-released sources) incorrectly. It is missing some options and has a lot of those not needed turned on. Also, the Russian guy named Avagetto who assembled initrd for the Ubuntu firmware really needs to re-do it from scratch as 80% of it is junk (duplicate kernel image and useless build directory)
