RC Firmware Update v0.4.0 for Ugoos AM6 & Cube X2/X3 models

0.4.0 firmware is a release candidate!  It soon will be available via OTA for your device!

Changes' announce in coming v.0.4.0

1. Added screenshot mode setting for video (experimental)
2. Added experimental video codec fixes as option (playback settings):
    - improved work of Steam Link video streams with hardware encoding on AMD GPUs
    - fixed reboots when rewinding or switching IPTV channels frequently
3. Added deinterlacing method setting (playback settings). May be useful for fixing color jerking problem on IPTV sports channels
4. Fixed rotation of 4k video
5. Some improves of system automatic frame rate function
6. Removed auto best dolby vision setting. Added new descriptions
7. The volume is now automatically set to maximum when enable CEC volume control
8. Improves of CEC volume control
9. Added PCM channels volume level setting
10. Improved audio passthrough support for TVs
11. Improved fix of return of hdmi sound parameters after listening to multi-channel PCM audio
12. Fixed resetting of setting "pass-through sound for hardware audio decoder" with HDMI hotplug event

  Does this version fix the problem that we cannot run the BL301 injection under CoreElec to have suspend/wake up? As far as I understood that didn't work in former firmware versions because of bootloader encryption.

  All Great work! Rare, I have issues with am-6 pro. I DO Now! Y or N? I Can Not Add TWRP Premium Recovery, .Img or .Zip- WHY is 3.9.1 = DEFEAT? ~MUST HAVE SW~ Please allow, send process and, or Install Script, User Script. PLEASE??

  As of firmware 0.3.9.1 i encounter a weird bug when watching youtube videos for some hours: Say like you watch like 20 videos using for example "youtube vanced" you are connected via wifi 2,4ghz and AFR is enabled for the app also mediacodec. At some point the video freezes up and its infinite loading like there is slow connection or no internet, if selecting a different video to watch no video will load up anymore the afr does switch but the video does not start, after this the wifi is dead and no app is able to receive packets cant even browse the internet using firefox/chrome it just does not load anything, this issue goes away after a system restart but comes back under the given circumstances, this has only happened on wifi connection on LAN no problems so far, maybe you guys have an idea what the problem is. When it happens i tried: force close youtube and clear cache/data turn off/on wifi (it always has full connection and good speed still no packet flow) use different app to watch videos online --> no loading i do not use bluetooth peripherals with the box. only fix is system restart Hope you can look into this issue it does not prevent usage of box but makes it not so entertaining.

  Hi, my name is Josep Maria. As of version 0.3.9.1 I cannot connect via direct cable to the ethernet port. Only via wi-fi. What has happened in this update ?. In the previous updates, I have never had any problems.

  Hello I really like using the dualboot with coreelec it is awesome I have one question, I would like to have all the image media art etc... covers backgrounds all on a micro sd card rather than the device itself. how would i go about that? Many thanks

  I hope a final version will arrive soon. It would be nice to have Dolby Vision FEL support on CoreELEC too, but it seems to be more difficult than expected.

  I have a box ugoos am6, firmware version 0.4.0. After updating Google Chrome to last version 89, it does not play video (streaming) from online sites. Error:(The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support(Infinity buffer)... Works with the version 85 of Chrome. After the Chrome version 85 does not work...

  I have install the v0.4.0 on my am6 pro. now i get some black screen when streaming online and sometimes a black screen when using a browser. when will the ota v0.4.0 be coming out and hopely it will fix that black screen issues.

  Hi is ugoos dead ? The Firmware is since 3 Months in Rc state. I have a lot of Problems with Dolby vision files, when I sop a dolby vision mkv, the player doesn't switch back to sdr. It stays in Dolby vision mode. Sometimes it switches back to sdr but mostly not. I have installed this rc firmware and use the vimu player. When will we get a new final Firmware

  CEC does not work on a new AM6 Plus under Android and CoreELEC connected to a DENON amplifier and a PANASONIC TV. What are you going to do about it ?
