Screen Rotation
In Display settings, you can use a switcher in case if you need to use unusual screen rotate format. Besides Landscape and portrait format, we also add reversed versions of these positions and original mode to let applications choose rotation by system settings. Screen rotation also available in upper bar like in cellphones.
Autoframerate
Via playback of many video samples, we concluded that sometimes AFR function in KODI is choosing best options for playback due to different video parameters. For more convenience, we set tree options for Frame Rate:
System resolution
Video resolution priority
Frequency resolution priority
Kodi has their own Frame Rate settings, so these options enabled in other players with using generic codecs.
Also we have added a whole settings menu for new functions, like ability to change resolution, choose policy for 25 and 30 fps videos and add ability to display resolution mode in upper status bar.
Self-adaptation switcher for Media Codec
User experience feedback helps us to find out that sometimes self-adaptation function for video playback works not so correctly so we come to a conclusion to give ability to turn it off if needed. We add switcher in Playback Settings.
HDMI Playback Logic & USB Routing Audio Improvements
If you would like to continue listen to the music using via audio system, but want to turn off your TV is not a problem anymore. Now HDMI sink detection can be disabled if you use other outputs to listen to the music (SPDIF or Bluetooth). This feature available for Ugoos AM3.
USB audio routing is enable in all boxes automatically, we add switcher, which can disable sending audio over USB. This may be useful if you have airmouse with sound bar, but you still want to use standard audio system.
HDMI color mode
For the majority of different TV screens and monitors device defines HDMI color mode automatically, but, due to some specifics, for a few amount of screen devices we had incapability in parameters. So now, you can manually choose color mode from menu in order to choose appropriate one:

List of the options depends TV screen supported modes, some of them may not have several or even at least one option.

Extended CEC Control
Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) is a feature of HDMI designed to control HDMI connected devices by using only one remote controller; so, individual CEC enabled devices can command and control each other without user intervention. Most of Ugoos devices has CEC contorol implemented in device. You need just turn it on: Settings -> HDMI -> CEC control.
It was a known fact that CEC wasn’t working with LG TV-sets. LG screens have their own CEC system, which makes a completely new problem with devices’ capability. We found the way to activate it in our firmware. Also we add several functions for key selection.
Masked HDMI
This feature will be very useful for those customers who prefer to use some streaming services (like Sky Go) and have some problems with detecting HDMI. In order to prevent HDMI detection by particular application you can run: Settings – HDMI – masked HDMI. Masked HDMI force system not to include HDMI in device’s active output.
